Small batch preserving is essential to maintain quality and goes hand-in-hand with the “old world charm” of our shop.
SPECIALIZING IN ONLY
Small Batch Preserving
Whether it is from farm fresh “charcuterie board” preserves to locally sourced, ALL of the products on the shelves at “Powers that Bee garden and TEA” are very thought out & limited. Francine’s theory of less is more by concentrating on quality not quantity has its merit! When you step into the shop you will see the benefits of our philosophy. Francine grew the produce organically. Then used them as she developed her creative charcuterie line of preserves. Small batch preserving is essential to maintain quality and go hand in hand with the “Old World Charm” feeling you get when you walk onto the property.
The Trinity Savories for your charcuterie Boards
Figgy Fennel Preserve
Francine was finishing up a heavy work day of preserving and had fell short on the wine she was using in a fig preserve recipe. She ran to the garden and said what, from nature’s bounty, can I use as a substitute. Standing and pausing for a moment. . . the fennel plant she loves spoke to her. It whispered. . . “You know I taste like licorice candy, and am great on your salmon. . .PICK ME. . . PICK ME”. And Figgy Fennel Preserve was born and the rest is history! It is now the PTB favorite and flies off the shelf.
Blueberry Mojito Preserve
The “Blueberry Mojito Preserve” is another original recipe developed by Francine to deliver the perfect punch and the blue color beautifully rounds off your charcuterie boards! The blueberry, cucumber and mint flavor combination is refreshingly pleasing to the palate – a definite crowd pleaser!
Peach Jalapeno Preserve
Peachy jalapeño is small batch crafted charcuterie product from a local annex farm right here in Tacoma. This is a beautiful product to top your cream cheese to put on your charcuterie boards with the sweetness of peach, and the smokiness of jalapeño. Not too hot, but just the right spice to make everything nice. So yummy!
The “Must Have” Vanillas
Truly pure vanillas are crafted from soaking vanilla beans in vodka. This process takes time. Francine is taking it a step on the gourmet side by using a local distillery product to house craft her Coco bomb vanilla instead of using plain vodka.
Both vanillas can be used as a way to augment your tea with a little boost instead of using sugar or honey. And of course, the vanilla can be used in any recipe just like any other vanilla, only. It’s a level up for gourmet ingredients.
